In The Family
Welcome to Ocean Cycles, where family tradition meets vacation fun!
Our story begins in 1945 when Charles and Ann Jaggard embarked on their entrepreneurial journey by purchasing Surf Lunch. Little did they know, this would mark the beginning of a legacy spanning five generations.
In 1966, the torch was passed to the second generation as Joanne and George Minnitti, Charles and Ann's daughter and son-in-law, expanded the business to include J&G Bikes, adding a new dimension to Surf Lunch.
The legacy continued to evolve when, in 1982, Frank and Miriam Clunn, Charles and Ann's second daughter and son-in-law, took over J&G Bikes and rebranded it as Surf Bikes. Despite facing tragedy with Frank's untimely passing, Miriam persevered, steering the business forward.
In 2006, the third generation stepped up as Frank Clunn Jr. joined Miriam at Surf Bikes, embodying the family's dedication to the family business. Together, they have upheld a standard of quality leaving customers coming back year after year when visiting Wildwood.
New Beginning
From a young age, Miriam's grandchildren, Robert O'Donnell and Maggie and Kelsey Clunn were responsible for helping out around Surf Bikes. From taking customers, to learning how to repair the bikes, they learned what it was like to operate a small business in a shore town. When the opportunity came, the three cousins decided it was time to take their experience and establish Ocean Cycles, expanding the family business from one end of Wildwood to the other.
Now, in 2023, the fifth generation has arrived with the birth of Mallory and Nora O'Donnell, setting up yet another foundation for the business to evolve. As we look back on our story, we remain grateful for the support of our community and look forward to serving you for generations to come.
